Celtic knotwork represents the endless cycle of life, death, and rebirth, and the interconnectedness of all things. The Eight-Pointed Star knot, aslo called an Octogram Knot, holds rich spiritual meaning across many different cultures and religions over the course of past centuries. In Celtic traditions, each point represents the eight solar festivals of the year, beautifully reflecting the interwoven cycles of life, death and rebirth within nature. In addition, the number eight is widely seen as a symbol of infinite eternity and the cyclical nature of life. Across all cultures Eight-Point Star is symbolic of balance, as the design is completely symmetrical and balanced no matter how it is halved, representing harmony among opposing forces. It is a powerful symbol of balance, transformation, renewal, and divine connection, mirroring ones spiritual journey and inner world.
This design is my own personal spin on the classic design, with the center star being connected to an outside circle.
